Departure from Ortale Square to reach Costa Palomba locality from where the path leading to Antece, a rock sculpture depicting a warrior risalnte to the 5th-4th centuries BC, starts. At the end of the hike, move to the Auso Waterfall Oasis. Short hike along the Oasis trails.
This will be followed by a brief illustration of the river ecosystem and the fauna present, with special emphasis on birdlife, as the Oasis is home to several species, including Green Woodpeckers, Red-backed Woodpeckers, Bearded Owls, Blackcaps, Dipper, Tits, Finches, Buzzards, Robin, and Redstarts.
Lunch at the equipped area of the Oasis.
This will be followed by a return to the village for a visit to the Grotto of St. Michael the Archangel, a shrine located inside a huge karst cave situated at the foot of a rock face a short distance from the town.

Meet at 8:30 a.m. in Ortale Square, move by car or shuttle to Costa Palomba, hike about 2 hours a/r; at the end of the hike move to the Auso Waterfall Oasis, where there will be a small hike to the Auso Waterfall and along the River, with barbecue including appetizer in the area equipped with typical products. Return to the village for a visit to St. Michael’s Cave. Return 5 p.m.

Equip yourself with hiking shoes and clothing. Need to bring sunscreen and hat and rain cape if necessary. Reservation required three days in advance, equip yourself with 1.5 liters of water.
