Today’s stop will take you to visit one of the most evocative places in the Cilento region, the beautiful Calore Gorges: you start from the center of Felitto from where you take a path that in the first part is downhill and then continues on level ground along a small wall that was built to convey the feed waters of an old mill that is now disused. With a short detour, a visit to the mill is possible before continuing the walk to Remolino. From here the path resumes to go all the way along the little wall that leads, after about a kilometer to the locality Remolino. Along the way, it is possible to observe the special conformation of the rock, known by the name of “potholes,” carved out by the course of water and the force of the wind. Upon reaching Remolino, the path resumes until it reaches the “Pietratetta” bridge, a peculiar natural bridge formed through the interlocking of two huge boulders that allows one to cross from one bank of the river to the other. After visiting the bridge, continue to the Medieval Bridge of Magliano, a historic humpback bridge that marks the entrance to the Calore Gorge. After a break on the banks of the river and a picnic lunch, we return to Felitto.

rendezvous 8 a.m. – Excursion of about 4 hours along the Calore gorges – Rural country lunch with tasting of local products – Visit to the mill, Pietratetta bridge and the Medieval bridge of Magliano – Return to the village expected 3 p.m. Visit to a pasta factory where there will be a hands-on demonstration of how the typical Felittese fusillo is made.
From 1 to 4 participants 25.00€ per person – from 5 to 10 participants 19.00€ per person, possibility of organizing tastings of typical products.
Required to wear technical clothing suitable for hiking, hiking shoes and telescopic poles, rain cape, hat. Equip yourself with at least 1.5 liters of water.
